Big thanks to Manu and Ajay...

.. for your hospitality yesterday.
Quite possibly the most fun I have had for a long time (don't let Mrs Jayteens read this!!)
Kevin - that 360 was stunning - now at the top of my 'will own one day' list
Dazren - The 996TT has redefined by concept of speed - utterly mindblowing but so effortless with it.
The Ultima was simply awesome - I now know how that guy who gets blasted out of a cannon at the circus feels!!!!
Ninja - The 355 was stunning but I am not sure how long you can wait now for the Tubi'd 360!!!!!
You should have seen the look on the Murkylager drivers face when I passed him in the Clio on the way home!!!!
Some piccies here if anyone fancies a nosey

We will have to do it all again soon.

Thanks guys.
It was great to meet up before hand with PHers I've conversed with rather than turn up at VW and be faced with 200 strangers.
The pre-meet meet is definitely something to be encouraged in future by drivers of the non-tvr lesser marks!
It's kind of different posting, being able to put faces to names.

No. I'm taking the piss.
Remember that Pistonheads was originally set up by petrolted for TVR owners. So us non TVR PHers are effectively gatecrashing the party. (hence drivers of lesser vehicles).
Gotta go into Bristol for a meeting at 1pm.
See you all.

On the contrary, it's always been my goal to bring PH to a wider audience, but TVR was the best place to start (and I'm biased because I own one!).
I got a real buzz out of seeing the mixture of marques there yesterday. Inter-marque rivalry is good for a bit of a joke, but it's great to have the chance to look at each other's cars without any prejudices etc. Keep 'em coming!
Aha. I stand corrected. Thanks Ted.
An urban myth originally explained to me by a longstanding PHer in the pub, bites the dust. I thought us non-Tivvers joined the party a little later.

Steve - I won't be at VW on the 20/10 but Iguana has just mentioned another venue for another date (different thread) and when I heard his suggestions I experienced a "moment of focus", something along the lines of; if that kicks off I'm not going to miss it!!!!

We are going through the video footage of that day, some good pics and footage. Trying to censor the swearing is proving difficult though!!!!
Cheers for a great day fellas.
It has been brought to my attention that A.N.Other person was driving my porsche from 8.00am to 7.00pm sunday, I recall leaving a set of my car keys with the secretary of the Chief Constable of Avon and Somerset late friday evening. Any video footage showing what may appear to be me driving my car was not me. I was at home and have 2 witnesses.
It will be nice to meet some of you one day perhaps.

All the footage I have from my little digicam has no sound at all - Kevin's 360 overloaded the crappy microphone and the ultima footage just has me giggling like a schoolgirl on it!!!
Top day, and next time you need a cameraman for some gratuitous tailpipe shots just let me know!!!
Just like to add my belated thanks to everyone for a brilliant day. It was really good meeting you all and an excellent way to spend a Sunday - talking about cars has got to be the next best thing to driving them!
Dazren - it was good meeting the guy who was driving your car ... watch out though, he was talking about taking it on track days !!
Manu, ajay - thanks for the hospitality and I must get a ride in a ferrari next time.
Hughjayteens - just realised, I didn't take you for a ride in the Tuscan ... probably just as well thinking about it, could have been a little bit of an anti-climax after a Ferrari 360, a 996tt and an Ultima !! I'll have to get in first next time!
Steve - I think yellow must have been invented for Griffiths !
See you all at the next one, now I've got to leave the Ferrari discussion board before my bank manager starts to get nervous! (or should that be more nervous).

I know - I don't think going in a car that looks as good as yours did could ever be an anti climax - I am a TVR boy at heart and a Tuscan is high on my 'must go in' car list!!!
