TVRs just keep on giving, never a dull moment & always something to do.
The passenger side hinge gave up the ghost, so it had to be repaired.
Now i know you boys will do a bonnet off in no time. But after today i would say if its your first time & the bolts look like they have never been touched, get some help.
I took the inner cover off & the bolts where encapsulated in see through fibre glass.
With a factory full of fibre glass & catty you would have thought a little more would have been used.
Is this the norm or have i been unlucky.
Putting the bonnet back on i will cough up beer tokens to make it easy.
Have a look at the photos, with the weight of the bonnet it just proves the bonnet was never opened very often.
In the morning the re-enforcing begins.

That is quite normal and a very common problem.
Sadly you will not solve it by just throwing more GF at it.
When I repair these I fabricate a tubular bar that runs right across the bonnet so that the threaded stud section each end is now one whole assembly. Which is then bonded in place.
