911 (Pre 89) Steering Wheels

Hi,

I've been trawling through a lot of Pre 89 911 ads, and i've noticed that a lot of the cars have different steering wheels.

Some have a large rectangle centre piece in the console of the steering wheel... and some have the small porsche crest.

Which is the correct one below... A or B?

Yes B is the standard oem steering wheel

Pretty sure there is also a 3 spoke the was in the SC or earlier

Yes, the SC had a 3 spoke wheel. I was assuming the OP meant 3.2 Carrera as he was asking about the original price of these in another thread. If I recall correctly the earliest Carreras also had the 3 spoke wheel.

Also OP don’t assume that all Porsche wheels that look the same fit the same.

The first year of 3.2 production, model year 1984, which would be produced from August/ September 1983, also had the three spoke steering wheel. Thereafter, the flat four spoke wheel.
