I guess technically its always the owners liability if they spill/leak water onto the street, its just it doesn't normally matter.
Are you thinking the race could be spiced up a bit if someone over enthusiastically waters their window boxes until the track is submerged?
I've worked in Monaco actually, and the actual chances of anyone that lives there doing anything to cause a problem is pretty much zero. If they did they wouldn't be living there very long after.. it's about the best behaved place in the world. Barring drugs/gambling/prostuitution of course
but other than those 'hobbies', no one does anything antisocial. I quite like the place!

In 1981 (I think) the start of the Monaco GP was delayed as there had been a fire in the kitchen of the hotel above the tunnel section.
Yes - there was an explosion and fire in the hotel that sits on top of the tunnel - in those days Lowe's Hotel. I remember hearing at the time that a chef had died in the explosion but I've never heard anything since to confirm it.TheDeuce said:

Yeah well was thinking along the lines of someone placing a massive bet on a driver and watering the corner before their competitor comes through. Are you thinking the race could be spiced up a bit if someone over enthusiastically waters their window boxes until the track is submerged?

I don't think the guys that own balconies overhanging the track need to bother with such tactics to make a few quid.. they really don't need the money.Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
