Just bought a car which has a secure plate holder fitted. Looks like I have to insert some kind of key into the two slots (see pic).

So, can anyone identify this particular plate holder and point me at the manufacturer to get a key.....or.....can I use another tool?

Where abouts are you? I've got a couple in the garage. But a right size flathead screw driver will do. All you're doing is releasing the catch behind so you can flip the holder up/down.

I’m in Cardiff.

Happy to stick a couple of quid over to you for postage - PayPal? If you can spare one.

Thanks.

If you can wait until tomorrow, I'll move the cars to get to the back of the garage and dig one out for you. Will reply once I've got it.

For anyone googling this down the line the plate holders are made by Wurth (who supply a lot of Audi dealers and I assume more across the VW group) and the tool is called a "Klapp-fix key"
