Saw the recent news that Lynk&co, the Volvo / Geely sub brand has become the fastest selling car brand in history, but apart from a press release from 2016 haven’t seen anything much about them in the UK motoring press (maybe I missed it)

The cars look ok to me, but like a Volvo and their latest cars look fabulous.

Any thoughts on them here ?

Lingke in chinese apparently so it’s some form of translation.....

Being sold in US, Europe and Asia if marketing blurb is correct.

I was just staggered at the number of vehicles sold as stated in the automotive world article !

What?

What does 'alt-left' even mean?

I guess it's the key to the left of the space bar rather than the "Alt" on the right of it?

I have to forget I've been seeing these driving round Millbrook for the past two years! They look great & share Volvo drivetrains & those with new XC40's already have one wink

Soon to be launched in the UK apparently, they will sell well if priced right, with electric, hybrid & ICE options from the off from what I gather.

There’s a lot of them driving around in Chiba.

The do look quite decent.

Volvo underpinnings and a bit more style which won’t be to everyone’s liking.

I’m still undecided on the styling

Looks interesting, be good to see how it takes to the U.K. market, maybe not premium enough to drag people away and not ‘anti-premium’ Enough like Dacia to make significant inroads.

I'd heard of Lynk&Co before. Aside from the awful name, I find their "fastest selling car brand" boast rather irritating. As a new brand, even if they sell 1 car they can claim to have 100% sales growth. It's just a stupid use of statistics to feed internet click-bait articles. By posting in this thread, we're all contributing to their marketing aims hehe

1bn (+) in China.
If 10% have a car, that’s 100m people.
If a car needs replacing every 10 years on average, that’s 10m new cars a year. Every year. Forever.

Sorry, I'm going to be 56 years old on Saturday so that's my excuse but...I don't understand anything on this thread!

What is this? That website? Is it an advert for a car brand?

It’s a new car brand that’s part of the Geely / Volvo family. Built on Volvo XC40 platform. Apparently being sold direct to consumers rather than via a dealer network.

I don’t know - I am going to have a look into them, my wife wants an XC40 so this might be a less expensive way to get one for her.
