Porsche Cayman or jag f type ?
Discussion
Hi guys and gals
I’m in the market for a sports car. First 2 thoughts are the jag f type with the 2 litre engine and the basic cayman. Looking at manual gear box. Has anyone owned one or both could give me there thoughts of living with one every day?
Both will be brand new the jag will work out a fair bit cheaper with the stupid deals they are doing atm. However I’m not opposed to spending more on the Porsche as from reviews seems to be the more enjoyable car to drive.
I do plan on driving both cars in the next 2 weeks.
Thanks for the advise
Thanks

Test drive both and you’ll have your answers. It was between the 718 Cayman for me and the V6 Jag and I much preferred the cayman.
Jag felt much heavier. Don’t regret my choice one bit, coming back from a meeting today I kept making excuses to go a different way each time when I got close to home so I could enjoy the drive that little bit longer. (Wasn’t rush hour).
Dealer experience was much better with Porsche too.

Driven both albeit not in entry level flavour, both cars being particularly colour/trim/spec sensitive but I couldn't live with Jag interior - not befitting of a car at that price point to be polite.
As someone else mentioned the Jag showroom experience leaves a little to be desired also.
Enjoy the test drives!
