An idea: Trade have offered me £ - does anyone want it....??
Discussion
Do we have a thread where people can post up their cars, with what their best trade in price is and offer it members with a drink on top?
There are loads of us who like to try different metal out, and then sell it on and move onto the next toy.
I used to do it quite a bit, but so many mis described cars these days I can't be bothered, as what starts out as a good buy that can easily be sold on for very little or no loss ends up costing loads, but I do miss it.
Might even be the case that you can't get enough as a trade in, put what you need and someone might bite, you may end up with £500 more, a grand more, or just £250 more. But it may make all the difference.
Only rules are honest descriptions.
List any issues so people know what they are getting into.
What do you reckon?

The dealers on their are useless.
Used them for the first time last week. Had 8 bids in a 2018 M3, one buyer offered £39200.
Turned up and offered £36000, then upped it to £37000 but said that head office said definitely no more.
They were told to f
k off.
I was also thinking more that buying from here you know what you are getting, not some piece that is being offered into the trade as there are issues.

I had a good experience with the site. Got good money for my car.Used them for the first time last week. Had 8 bids in a 2018 M3, one buyer offered £39200.

I did have my fair share of dealers on there trying to mug me off to get themselves a bargain. Despite been a low mileage mint condition 5 series m sport, in one of best colours, with black interior... They would just find something it didn't have, wrong wheels (18 inch not 19), no sat nav.
I get the point they made about sat nav, but lack of built in navigation didn't devalue the car by 2k.
I took just under 10k for it, dealer sold it for 12k. Good for him. Everyone a winner considering we buy any car were talking 8500

Isn't that what the classifieds is for where you link to your profile?
A lot of people can't be bothered to post an advert up like that. I have bought two cars recently from people I know who are trading them in.
I have agreed to take the car on the day they are getting their new one, and give them more than the dealer.
It is good for them as they are not left without a car, or with 2 cars while trying to sell the other, and they get a few hundred more as well.
I have got to try a car I wouldn't normally buy and sold it on again easily with no loss.

Also had no problems selling through tootle VW main dealer bid 1k over what I had previously been offered, they turned up quick look over and transferred the money all done in under 15mins.
I'm sure most are great. But these just took the Mick, and had no intention of paying what they offered, which IMHO is not on, as others had offered above what they were prepared to pay but below their online offer.
Inchape bought it in the end for £39600, but it was annoying as we waited 4 days for the first lot to come and then had to let another car go as was not sure how long it would take to sell it again.

I'm like you I get annoyed when people mess me round. Then I say to myself stop assuming people are decent and you won't be disappointed again. But these just took the Mick, and had no intention of paying what they offered, which IMHO is not on, as others had offered above what they were prepared to pay but below their online offer.
