The driver's door has dropped and you can lift it up and down at the rear edge and see play in the top hinge.

There seems to be a top-hat type bush available for the hinge:

Do you need to remove the whole hinge to rebush or does it just lift out drop in from the top of the hinge?

Presumably there is one in the bottom hinge too?

Thanks.

I had play in the drivers door. The top hinge is basically just a bolt that goes through the door into a bracket arrangement, [with a welded nut attached], fixed to the body. The bolt can

work loose and cause the door to drop. I tightened the bolt up and the door was fine, no more play.

Only over a period of time the bolt manages to work itself loose again. I tightened the bolt up again and drilled a small hole through the nut and bolt and

inserted a spring pin. Been perfect for quite a few years now. Here is a link to an old post, pictures are far better than my above explanation.

Just to clarify for the OP. The door hinges top and bottom have the hinge pivot nut welded in position. It is the bolt that can (sometimes) come loose.
What is more likely is both the plastic bush and the bolt are worn but both can be replaced. Fit the bolt using Loctite.

Thanks so the top hinge is just a bolt passed upwards from inside the door into the captured nut and the bush fits around the bolt to prevent wear.
Does the bolt normally protrude from the nut? Mine is not even flush. There is a little well inside the nut where water sometimes collects and there is a rusty colour.

If yes to above, fix is to support the door and remove the bolt than the bush and replace ?

My doors are in penny numbers so I can post some photos of a top hinge off the body/door if you think it would help.

Bolt normally full extends through the nut with a few mm of the bolt thread showing. Either yours is very loose or the wrong bolt.
