E90 M-Sport seat suddenly uncomfortable

Hello PHers,

I have an E91 335i M-Sport Touring

I've had the car since July last year and it is wonderful. However a couple of weeks ago, all of a sudden the drivers seat has become immensely uncomfortable, and is digging in and causing pain on my left side. Up to this point I haven't had an issue with the seats.

The left bolster seems to be digging into the back of my hip. The bolsters aren't inflated at all, and nor is the lumbar. I have held down the deflate button for the bolsters and squeezed them to make sure no air is trapped or anything. It feels like the bolster has something hard in there, or is someway inflated, it feels like its sticking out slightly more than the right side bolster, but i cant feel anything with my hands at all.

Now I must say I am not the slimmest gentleman, but for months the seats have been fine and all of a sudden and I am pain after driving for 15 minutes.

Anybody have any ideas as I have no idea what is wrong with the seat. I haven't changed anything with the seat or car

Well if you haven't changed anything on the car, then the only thing that may be different has to be you - sadly!

this is partly my thinking.

Last night I did fully inflate the side bolsters and then deflate and it does seem better, whether thats a placebo or not....
