Hi All,

New to this and looking for some advice. I'm the owner of an 11 plate BMW 318d Tourer which i've owned for nearly 4 years.

I've shelled out quite a lot of money on different things (new fly wheel, new shocks, various new tyres, brakes) since i've owned the car.

The mileage is 133000 I bought it with 113000 on it,recently it broke down on me (after going through a service and MOT), took it to my local garage who i've used since i've had the car and are BMW specialists and after looking at it they have advised the timing belt has snapped and damaged the engine! I've been quoted 1500 for a refurbished engine but not sure if I just want rid now due to all the issues i've had.

I have someone who is interested in buying it as is but have no idea what its worth in its current state and if its worth holding onto.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Thanks In Advance
G

Sorry to hear your woes, it’s the timing chain that’s failed.
