Not into bikes...but that design does not look 30 years old to me...if you had not mentioned it in the text I thought that they were new bikes...!!

No need to apologise for the 'bikey' content smile it's certainly an interesting piece of kit. I actually really like the idea of a small capacity fun bike being exploited to the limit!

Doesn't look too bad at all but the twin headlights place the bike of a certain age.

I always thought about doing my CBT but just love my pushbikes too much, however if I ever do get round to doing it - I'd be more than happy with one of the beauties smile

Absolute beauties (although as an NC30 owner, I'm biased about living the styling).
I knew the baby Fireblade was a screamer, but I didn't realise how high it went!
I agree that focused smaller bikes are a splendid thing, you can really ride them on the road hard without getting to silly speeds or situations.

Vehicles don't retrospectively get banned even if it was a 2 stroke.

OP the bike looks ace, it must sound amazing. 62.5cc cylinders so not as tiny as you would imagine.

I used to own a VFR400 NC30 so can completely see the appeal of these, particularly for sub 6 foot riders.

The small Hondas of this era were beautifully made, little Swiss watches. I can’t imagine they ever made any money on them because the engineering was totally top notch.

But having two is just greedy laugh

There's a bloke who commutes across Reading in some kind of old 400 like this (they are before my time so I don't recognise exact models!). He always looks like he's having a laugh pinning it away from the lights. It sounds fantastic.

how you getting on with the bike chap? Just got myself one, awaiting delivery of it. Quite literally the only one thats been for sale in the uk for many months, so they're extremely rare. Cant wait !

Agree that you don't need loads of power, if the bikes weight is right.
Anything modern is 200kg before you start.

I absolutely love that!

Never had a 'babyblade' but for a summer in 2007 the now ex and I had a RGV250 and GSXR400RR SP2. Brings back great biking memories of those and bikes friends owned.

Nah it was the blue one that was on there last week. I've been trying to buy it off him for years. Hahahaha. Rode it back from basingstoke on friday and it was amazing. Needs some work to get it back to a decent condition but it rode great and is surprisingly perky when you get it up to speed. The chassis was also very surprising, these must be a hoot on track. I'm going to try to source some new fairings to get it the white and pink scheme, broadly similar to that beautiful one you have. Did you get it resprayed etc or source new original / aftermarket fairings? It's not an original scheme as is so will keep my eyes out for some fairings. Once its had a good service etc I'm gonna book onto a track day I reckon. May have to pick your brains if thats ok, once I start to pick it apart . Currently needs a new rectifier / stator as it ain't charging properly, plus I wanna get the carbs cleaned and balanced etc over winter.
