Aaaargghhhh! For the umpteenth fcensoredg time the boot has been left at half catch (by your truly!), not fully closed and the boot light has drained the battery. Ironically the last time I went in the boot was to put the Andersen leads in there...........banghead In my defence, it has new seals so the boot lid doesn't now just drop and lock fully, but enough is enough!

I want the boot light on, but only when the lid lifts above the catch. Where is the switch located and is it adjustable? Or do i need a different switch arrangement to achieve that?

TIA

Fit a mercury switch (Tilt Switch) in the boot lid and wire it to the factory boot switch wiring

Good idea , but I still need to know where the current switch is to break into the circuit, any ideas?

Konrod, the switch is located next to the boot catch - it's actuated by the 'arm' that flicks clockwise to release the boot lid catch. Access via the void behind the grp outer skin. Good opportunity to lubricate cable from solenoid and lock mechanism??

Thanks all, got it. I'll have a look over the weekend and see if I can adjust the switch that is there, or other options.
