It would probably be a good idea to also archive a hard copy - as in 5 to 10 years time it may be that current equipment will be unable to handle the disks we use today. Who can access data that was stored on a 51/2" Floppy?
What we can confidently predict, is that there will be equipment that will be able to scan and reproduce electronically from hard copy.

I'm sure I've got one somewhere in the garage but can't find anything for all of these Jago bits.............

Presumably anyone who uses this forum has the longterm interest of the Jago marque at heart and the more we can do to make owning /running/ servicing the cars easy for existing and future owners must be worthwhile; as is spreading the knowledge that there is a wealth of readily available support and info (which can rival many of the larger clubs).
I find it refreshing to see this positive up beat thread
**How about a photo competition of the tidiest/ untidiest garage and not to forget those heroes (and heroines?) fixing cars alfresco without the need for any of that mamby pamby roof business "the most hospitable driveway/ street" There must be scope for a bit of wit and suitable prizes, not so sure about the logistics- could we use the Yahoo pic gallery forum?
i like the garage competition idea - mine got burnt by an arsonist and insurance wont cover it
would make a good crappest garage pic though as the roof has just fallen in
no jago's were damaged though - just a herald and a mini both on alloys that melted - was a good fire on a fire brigade strike day so the army put it out [they did a good job too]
ahhh well been gonna rebuild it for 2 yrs or so lol

51/2" Floppy or a hard one? Whatever happened to good old Gestetner? Got my manual today...thanks Mike. Pity some of the guidelines weren't followed when my Jeep was built. Still can't find where it says, make sure the distance between rollcage and bodywork on driver's side is three fingers, and passenger side, four, bolt windscreen down using 30 nuts and bolts...(33 at the last count) still, the more the merrier!

Hi Trext,
got the manual and info' book on Weds morning and have had a good flick through it.
I see its a later manual as it refers to the Sandero, and as such is packed with bits of useful information benefitting from 20 years of production.
Its also interesting to read advice like 'consult an auto-electrician' - I think whoever built mine skipped that bit!
Cheers mate - Swizz...

Tonka same message as above!!
Following recent concerns about the decline in the use of the Queen's English I thought I would try and do my bit to raise the tone a little.
Found this quote in a recent copy of Pride and Prejudice, written by Jane
"Jago"
Austen:
"It is a statement without fear of contradiction that every Jago Owner, of whatsoever age, should aspire to have a Factory build manual"
Since Drseg fairly conclusively won the crappest garage contest (without a photo!!) perhaps we should try and contrive some "literrraerrture " quotes that can be adopted to the Jago maniacs purposes????
Possibly a new thread needed?
