The car is for sale at a dealer near stoke, Dave Fox cars. Its not advertised at the moment as they are doing bits and bobs to it. The outriggers are not the best as i have pointed out to them and they are now considering a fairly low offer.
The car has covered 60k miles with service history and 7 owners. The body and trim are nice ,could just do with a good bath.
I have looked at this car for a friend who is looking to buy his first TVR.
I have priced up the outriggers and can get them done at a reasonable cost.
Any info would help
Cheers

Caveat Emptor.
You should know that this car has had quite a bit of money spent on brakes, replacing oil in diff. and gearbox, new clutch thrust, radiator fan etc. in the not too distant past. However, at some point in it's life it has had a front bodywork section grafted on, if you look carefully at the wheel arches at the hub centre point you can see the join across the wings to the bonnet opening; in addition there were stress marks on the passenger door paintwork. It may be that the paintwork has been refurbished again since I last saw the car and I think the replacement front was probably done well at the time but over the years the paint had sunk on the join. You are right the outriggers are not in the best of shape and generally the wishbones etc. could do with refurbishing paintwise. The engine sounds pretty sweet although the right hand manifold (as you face the car from the front) has had several weld repairs, maybe this has been done properly by now?
All in I do not think it is a bad car, but it certainly needed various bits of TLC when I last saw it, it is overpriced in my opinion considering what it needs to make it a nice car without being concours. At this point I should say it is three years ago since I saw the car and it may have had work carried out to rectify my observations, but I think it may not have had any long term owners since then as I have seen it advertised in another dealer in addition to the current vendor; ultimately as with all TVR's you need to check it carefully, ask them to put it up on the ramp for you so that you can check the underside carefully.
Good luck, a good Griffith is a joy a neglected one can empty your wallet quickly.

Yes, I looked at it for a friend too!.

The rest of the chassis looked crusty as well as the outriggers and wishbones etc (it lived up in Scotland for a few years), it needed a bit of TLC on the roof, it needed a carpet set as it was badly stained and had mushrooms growing in it, the drivers door had dropped and the engine was rough when I listened to it.
Easily chuck £10k at it to make it a good car.
