Bit of an unusual one this.
1.25 petrol engine.
Car running fine but cigarette lighter not working so I remove fuses one by one to identify blown one.
Found and replaced blown fuse, cigarette lighter now fine but on trying to start the car it won't fire.
Car turns over, fuel pump primes and runs on cranking and have spark as a shot of ether in the intake makes it run for a few seconds.
Fuel pressure 50 psi on cranking.
I'm at a loss, fault code p0562 low system voltage present and I'm unable to clear it.
Tried a new battery but no luck, checked fuses are ok and in the correct location.
Only thing I can think of is the injectors are not being triggered, maybe something has corrupted the ECU.
Never seen anything like this, I fear an expensive visit to Ford coming.
Any advice is much appreciated.

Undo whatever you changed, and if that doesn't fix it then check that all the fuses you fiddled with are intact and seated properly.

Sounds like the injector driver is shorted out through the cigarette lighter fuse you replaced. So simples, take that fuse out again and stop smoking.

Sadly I’ve retraced my steps about 5 times and everything is as it should be.
Nice idea about the injector driver but I’ve removed that fuse again and it’s still the same.

See if Google will tell you how those injectors are driven. I suspect you'll find they are feed with a continuous 12v on one side, and the other side is pulled down to ground via the ECU to open them. In that case, see if you can find 12v on one side when you switch on and when you start cranking the engine. The 12v side is relatively simple in electrical terms and could have been disturbed when you were playing with the fuses. So if you don't find it, pursue that as the likely problem. If you do find it, I'd look at the load sensor next.

Do you have an OBDII reader? That should let you confirm the ECU is seeing crank and cam rotation and getting all the expected sensor inputs.

The likelihood is, it is something you disturbed on your first job.

Dislodged a plug/fuse/etc & you really need to re-do everything being hyper-critical.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for several hours? How about trying an ECU disconnect for several hours

I do have diagnostic kit and a cam/crank correlation check even if it was basic came back as a pass.
I have tried the battery disconnect and retraced my steps over and over so sadly it will have to go to someone with more knowledge.
Thanks for all the advice, much appreciated.
