Why was George Michaels death overlooked?
Discussion
Going through a 90’s music phase right now and found myself listening to a lot of George Michael and watching live performance’s. An incredibly talented singer that doesn’t seem to get much attention.
I remember the day he passed and I don’t remember there being much coverage or many tributes, his death striked me as suspicious and brushed under the rug, how can a healthy rich 53 year old man die like that suddenly?

Ok maybe not athlete healthy but you’d think with the fortune he was sitting on, he’d have a team of doctors and physicians on standby doing checks etc etc.
I know a lot of alcoholics, there are a few in my area who spend most of their days on the park bench necking them 2l bottles of ciders and they don’t just die.

You've forgotten that he almost died in Austria a year or so earlier? It was the quality of medical care that saved him then (when he was well, ISTR he did a free concert for the hospital staff).I know a lot of alcoholics, there are a few in my area who spend most of their days on the park bench necking them 2l bottles of ciders and they don’t just die.
And I doubt you've checked the mortality rates among the alcoholic homeless.
So, basically: no, no and no.
Lol lol lol.
He was known for doing daft things and skating on thin ice. In three separate accidents he fell out of his car on the motorway, drove one into a shop and another time hammered one at high speed into the back of a truck all whilst 'under the influence'. Had a long history of drugs, and alcohol, been arrested for possession of illegal substances and driving under the influence on numerous occasions.
He was an accident (or death) waiting to happen.
It was also during the year of the great celebrity cull, a lot went that year.
It was just lucky he didn't take anyone with him on several occasions.
