F83 CP OPF Exhaust Upgrade
Discussion
Ive got an M2 comp with S55 motor and OPF. Yes muted is right.
I know for the M2c all the usual suspects have a variety of OPF back and OPF delete options out.
Akra, milltek, remus, supersprint etc.
Personally, I'm buying a OE non OPF mid pipe section from a Canadian guy on a forum, it's got secondary CATS so I can then do a primary CAT delete but still pass the MOT. And the non OPF cars have the previous much better sound of course.
The MOT will also need a "visual verification" that emissions equipment is in place, so I figured that a factory midpipe with canisters in it (CATS but could be OPF) would be best...

I have no suggestions for you. But some feedback...
I tested a brand new car (coupe) and found it pretty quiet inside - yet outside in urban areas it sounded good to passers by. But as you say it’s definitely muffled.
In the end I purchased a ‘66 F83 and was shocked at how loud it was stock on my first test drive. Around town in Sport and sport plus I love the sound, apart from the burbles are just a little too much...
Literally every time you come off the throttle you have almost 3 seconds of burbles. I love the bangs and cracks when you come off the throttle under load - but the burbles in town are a little knobby for my liking, they just go on too long. I find myself keeping my foot lightly on the throttle when going through a busy town centre - so I don’t bring further attention to myself!
When my car is out of warranty I am looking to buy a bootmod3 and one of the first things I’ll do is reduce the burbles slightly.
So I don’t know how crazy you want to go with your exhaust mods. But be careful what you wish for...a lot of the full systems I’ve heard are very ricer.
