Clearly Humberside Police have been watching too many episodes of World's Wildest Police Chases.

'He gonna have the next eight to twelve months to think about his actions.... at the county jail!'

Probably slowed when it saw the marked car after the speed measurement was taken.

M180.

Home to the speeding "empty motorway put me foot down" driver.

Also home to Bumbleside trafficHQ at Laceby Top.....

Anyone speeding sticks out like a bulldog's knackers.

Don't get angry mate.

If anything 156 wasn't fast enough; good effort though.

I’d guess because emotional involvement clouds judgement, and they’re employed to enforce the law fairly and evenly?

It used to be the last part of my journey home. In the end I came off at junction 1 and used back roads before I got banned...

Doesn't matter really.

He was knowingly doing over twice the speed limit.

If you are stupid enough to do it on public roads, then tough titties if you get caught.

Don’t see an issue with this to be fair if the motorway was quiet ! Completely different issue round little villages an schools etc but motorways shouldn’t have speed limits these days. Just a minimum speed would probably reduces accidents on A roads aswell !

This happened on the M18, so close by a few hours ago. It might explain why there is an issue. Kind of makes a mockery of your argument about accidents too.

I think it'll be viewed as fast enough in the eyes of the court wink

Sorry for the emoji.

I think you're reading into an emoji a little too much.
