So following on from my own dark days of being one of the worst examples of a reasonable citizen I’d like to create a thread to host the worst stories of growing up on mopeds and 125’s.

I would start, but I’d just like say I’m forever sorry for my part in retiring our local PC.

If we're doing apologies I should ask forgiveness from the residents of many, many Hertfordshire villages for the noise of my YPVS in the early '90s.

Mid and West Kent, when aged 17 and just passed my pt 2 test, were firmly acquainted with my straight through four-into-one on a scabby Z400 after hours in the mid eighties ... and a similar Z750 in late eighties, and Z1000 in 90’s.... Came out of retirement in January this year. Z1000 in Surrey. Morning everyone :-)

Apologies to parts of the countryside that had to put up with my very loud 350LC back in the day and also to the poor guy on a Puch Maxi style thing i scorched past one morning whilst late for work when i still had my CBR600. The can on that thing was unreasonably loud and whilst he was doing whatever speed he was doing, i was going waay waay faster and probably scared him silly.

I crashed a moped into the side of my friend's next door neighbours' house while trying to show off... And I did it in front of the very neighbours whose house it was.. weeping

I also 'made loud' every bike I ever had including removing the exhaust from my XLR125 and removing the baffle and end-cap-thingy from my full Micron system'd NS125.

I could ( and should ) write a book on my " experiences on bike " since July 1977. One that springs to mind is of a guy on a FSIE, who whilst eying up some girls at the "bust" stop on his left, in Station Rd Chingford, ploughed straight into the back of an MGB GT that had stopped at the traffic lights. Hapless FSIE rider went head first through the rear screen, fortunately without severe injury !
