Upgrading from S2000
Discussion
Hello all,
I don't live in the UK anymore, I moved from there 11 years ago to start a life abroad. I mention this as some of the UK options, servicing, as well as price will be out of my range (i.e. a Speed 6 Tuscan which is my dream car).
I bought my UK spec 2004 S2000 nearly a decade ago, and over this time it's given me nearly a decade's work of fun, reliability and enjoyment with low running costs and literally nothing to change outside of annual servicing other than a clutch, and rubber.
There is a chap who's been pestering me to sell it to him for a while. I'd like to upgrade to something with a touch more power (but not silly amounts), and have been looking around the market for alternatives.
My dream car would be T-top or convertible
Light
Reliable and acceptable running costs
Manual gearbox
'Driver Focused'
At the bottom of it's depreciation curve.
Around 40-45,000 EUR.
Faster than my S2000, but not stupid fast so I can only have fun with it at high speeds.
The list I currently have is a V8 Vantage, Evora S, F-Type V6S, but as I'm sure you can immediately see, they don't all tick the above boxes.
Is there anything I'm missing? Should I hold onto the S2000 (which although fun can be a pain due to being RHD in a LHD country).
