My wife would like to buy a TT and we were planning on getting one at around 12 months old to save a chunk of money. I wondered though whether there are good discounts to be had, or does the recent facelift mean that it’s selling well?

Yes. It gives you an idea of the discounts available nationally - your local dealer will normally honour it too I f you turn up with a screenshot. It takes the hassle out of haggling for sure.

I’m looking at changing my car shorty one of the cars I’m looking at is the TTS on a brand new car they are offering me 10% off which is about £6k off a new car. In the past I have never heard of a dealer do that good a deal on a used car. Generally if your looking at finance it will be cheaper to buy a brand new one rather than one that’s 12 months old.

Thanks for the replies

We’re flexible on new or used and cash or finance, depends on the deals we can find really. Do you mean you’ve been offered a 10% discount from CarWow or from a dealer directly?

Try drivethedeal.com - discounts of up to 16% available from what I've heard. The best deals are generally conditional on you taking finance from VWFS.

However if you're looking to minimise depreciation then you're probably better of buying a pre-facelift Used example in cash. I bought my 2.0 TFSI Sport when it was just over 2-years old with 11.5k miles for £18k from Audi as Approved Used. Traded it in last week for £16.4k with 30k miles on the clock and coming up to 4-years old, so it's cost me hardly anything.

The offer was from the dealer direct I have brought 2 cars from them previously and my sister literally picked up her new car this week so have a good relationship with the salesman.

I've not seen a £60k TTS so assume you've mis-typed that.

You can't currently order a TTS (or couldn't last week when I last checked), and it was the same when I was in the market last October so I bought the demo car from the local dealer (£47k when new, £37k to me at 4 months old).

I think the nearly-new route is better with the TT as it's not as incentivised new as other Audi models, but perhaps for the standard TT it's close. Fantastic car either way.

We got around £9500 off a TT 2.0 Sline this time last year via Carwow from Lincoln Audi.

List was just under £40k, we paid just over £30k.

It was a car they had available but unregistered so got a better deal than waiting for a build to order.

If your are offered a good discount for taking a new car on PCP you can withdraw from the agreement within a few days, pay cash for the car and keep any "incentives" offered.

I got £8500 off my TT this way

It looks like we’ll go down that route as we can get a new car for a fraction more than a used one. Cheers, all.
