Pedal Distance
Discussion
Being vertically challenged I find the pedals, especially the clutch a bit of a stretch, even with the seat full forward. Any solutions? Other than wearing Garry Glitter shoes.😁😁 Cheers J C. Incidentally my 350i just failed its MOT. Bent rear radius arm. Probably damaged by previous incorrect jacking. Not easy to find a replacement.
The pedals are not adjustable (think the throttle has a bit of tweak movement though)
I’m no engineer but would it be possible to cut off the flat pedal and weld on thread onto the rear, then weld a nut onto the old pedal arm
In short it replicates the Chim / Griff adjustable pedals
You’d need to carefully check calculations as mentioned I’m no engineer and these are brakes

Hi Adam. Sorry we were at cross purposes on posts. Agreed there might be a pedal extention solution by adding a block to the pedal area? The bent arm I have is at the rear listed as a Radius Arm.Fitted from the rear bottom wishbone, forward to the chassis. I reckon it's been bent by previous incorrect jacking. As when I first found the vehicle it was sat on its wheel rims. The owner did say he'd inspected the chassis. On reflection, the only way he could have achieved that was probably putting a jack on the radius arm. Initial enquiries have not been positive in that it appears that it is a TVR part. Once apart I'll see what my opitions are. Cheers J C.
Afternoon J C. Sounds like what Adam said, the trailing arm. I’m in the far side of North America from you so not as easy to source TVR specific parts like this without a substantial freight bill. I had one of mine fabricated by a local shop as the original was a bit (lot) banana shaped. Not hard to do but there was a little shop time involved and they had the car so the tape measure could be employed to ensure they are mirror images. MUCH better now. So, depending upon condition, I hear three choices; carefully straighten, source a good used, fabricate. Cheers!
Thanks for the replies Chaps and the offer Adam. It's a nearside one which is bent but my local garage are going to attempt to straighten it. Given the non-availability it's the best initial option, we'll see how it goes. Racetech did suggest fabricating one. Anyway thanks again for the advice and offer. If all fails and yours is a nearside one Adam I may be in contact. Just a thought, are they handed? Yes it is the arm from the chassis to the lower rear bearing hub. J C.
Look to be available new still https://tvr-parts.com/tvr-parts/part-details/tvr-0...
