Reasonably careful chap but the thought of knackering a ceramic disc fills me with fear

Have been researching and it would appear that choices are somewhat limited (esp in the U.K.) regarding buying the phallic symbol shaped tool thingy..

In the USA there seem a few manufacturer offerings or indeed a few clever boffins seem to be knocking them up for group purchases.

Any ideas or suggestions?? - If anyone has one gathering dust - please ping me. Or am I to buy the Rennline item which seems the only advertised one readily available here in the U.K. but, at a not inconsiderable £350 ?!?!

Many thanks

Had on a 997RS, only used it once. Wheels are light, not an issue as there is plenty of clearance between the rotor and wheel, had wheels on and off on a 980 over 13 years without one and never touched a rotor.

Weekly press ups cheaper.

what are you using/ what is the most used, commonly accepted wrench to remove and torque the CL wheels?

Haha - my names Simpson not Samson!

Appreciate what your saying though. Although no doubt there's lighter alternatives, the standard 997.2 RS rim is surprisingly light

For anyone wanting to remove/refit their CL wheels - there is now a UK made and supplied alignment tool available & currently for sale on ebay. Cheaper by some margin than the few alternatives and its a brilliant, essential bit of kit. Used mine twice and makes the job so much easier and importantly, risk free!

Will post up link

I have one of those too. Very good quality, but the snap on centre cap remover that it comes with isn't that great and the tip breaks after a while. However if you have a 991 that isn't an issue as the car comes with one.

Made a couple of these for myself from Delrin. Will fit 991 centre locks.
I had some rod left over so made an extra one. Will sell it for £125, PM me if you're interested.
