can i borrow a 'Cam Camshaft Degree Wheel Kit' ? [Epsom]
Discussion
I've removed my old cam and have ordered an MC1 cam kit from V8 Developments and will install myself into a 1991 TVR V8s 4.0. The Cam Camshaft Degree Wheel Kit, to include the bump stop and dial indicator, is a pricey investment for a one off job, hopefully......so thought i'd see if there is a fellow PH'er willing to lend/rent me thiers. I'm local to Epsom.
How much do "V8 Developments " want for their "Cam Camshaft Degree Wheel Kit"?
Is it what's shown here: http://www.v8developments.co.uk/technical/camshaft... ?
If so, a decent 360 dgree protractor could ocst £20 (or nothing if you print one off online)
A DGI and stand? £30 tops
Pointer -how much would you charge for a wire coat hanger?
DiY, you know it makes sense.

You can buy a metal one for ten quid or so, or stick a paper one on a bit of cardboard for pence. It should not be anything like as expensive as you seem to think.
ETA: that was bout the degree wheel.
If you have the resources to build an engine you should have no trouble making a dead stop - mine is made from a spark plug. A dial gauge plus magnetic mount is probably the most expensive part although still not hideously expensive in the scheme of things.
