Mk 1 Tuscan LED dip headlight bulbs

Has anyone fitted LED bulbs to the Tuscan dip headlight please ? The original dipped beam is so poor that it is almost dangerous !
I understand that I need H7 6000k bulbs but there seem to be a huge number of different options and suppliers out there. Can anyone recommend a good supplier and bulb please ?

Yes, fitted LEDs about 2 years ago.

I also got LED rear and brake lights and changed the sidelights to LED (eagle eyes??). The difference is fantastic - the tailgate brigade don't anymore. Downside is that I sometimes get flashed by Doris when they are pushing on past 40mph on a clear motorway!

Easy to deal with and when one unit went a bit flaky, a replacement was received within 3 days. The 'owner' (Gil) knows his stuff and is very helpful over the 'phone.

Malcster - TBH, I can't recall. However, when I chatted to Gil on the phone whilst wondering what to go for, I said they were the Lucas lights - offset pins - as fitted to Ferret scout car(?)/military application. He knew what I was talking about in any event!

All the units came with a comprehensive Q & A sort of instruction leaflet and were fitted in an afternoon.

I used the "Eagle Eyes" (?) in lieu of the front sidelight capless originals, as the Hella/Bosch original holders were just 'old' and contacts poor as well as the plastic lens degraded/falling off.

Fitted LED dip headlight bulbs now - from Gil Keane (very helpful - thanks Nick). Almost impossible to fit as you have to work with one hand only in the wing compartment and you need 360 degree articulated joints in your hand/arm. However, having fitted them I now have almost impossible interference on my radio when the headlights are on !!!!. One fix (according to the internet) seems to be to fit ferrite chokes (Clips) on the headlamp wire. Has anyone tried this and does it work ? Any suggestion as to a good source for the ferrite chokes also appreciated.

---First off, make sure your earth points are bright and shiny....then protect them with Vaseline.

If this doesn't stop interference, then check aerial. Last year returning from Silverstone Classic, my radio reception was very hit & miss. I'd also experienced 'hissing' with the headlights 'ON'. Eventually decided to check aerial (Pass side behind headlight fittings). The original had snapped quite close to the mounting. TVR factory fit was a bog standard 'Halfords' wing mount telescopic item with the mast bent up into the void between the inner and outer wings. I bought a 400mm(?) long, rubberised aerial from my local motor factors and fitted same. Reception has improved no end.

I did also clean up the braided earth wire from the aerial mount bracket to the front chassis earth point (in front of dry sump oil tank).
The LED hissing seems to have stopped.

There was no trouble with the radio before fitting the LED headlamp bulbs but perhaps they have accentuated an existing problem which was "marginal" before.

Also I should have added. I only became aware of a radio interference problem with the LED headlights when I switched them on for the first time in the garage (engine off). At the same moment my DAB radio on the garage mains supply went off !! The car radio was not turned on. Puzzled by this I switched the headlights off and the mains radio came back ! I double and treble checked this to make certain - so the LED headlights were definitely cutting out my mains radio. Perhaps someone with more knowledge than me could explain what was happening ?

Forgot to add. I bought these. Were much easier to fit in the limited access, with the flexible ribbon heatsink.
