Its been years since I had a bike - almost 15....!!

I had a GSXR 600 and loved it - since kids were born, my fun has been strictly 4 wheels, not 2

Recently bought a Yam 250 scooter to ride to the station each day, and have been slightly bitten by the bug again!

Need to buy a cheap replacement for the scooter...

Don't need a sports bike any more - prefer something that doesn't tempt me to kill myself. ideally would like a Harley XL and would make it into a bobber style - but right now thats not an option.

One thing I realise though, riding to the station on the scooter, does give remarkable protection from the wind/cold, which I would to a degree like to replicate - particularly keeping legs warm.

It seems in my time away from riding the whole bike landscape has changed massively - and I havent a clue what to look for!

Can anyone recommend a bike - budget £2k-£4k min 600cc

I was talking to a chap with a Tiger the other weekend. It had a heated seat. I was in awe.

That's quite an old bike now, though. Do you research if you want to ride it every day. Reliability is key.

Yes a very valid point. And I do want to ride to station every day. Perhaps I should leave sportster until a later time when I can play and enjoy it. Perhaps something a bit newer and lighter?
Blimey I am confused!!!

If that's what you're using it for, stick to a scooter. Also PLEASE buy and use proper locks and chains or it WILL be stolen.

A VFR800. Sensible, reliable, durable and performs very well.
