BMW 116i (2014) misfiring/juddering when rpm is over 2700

Hi,
When I started driving today (BMW 116i 2014) I noticed that when I accelerated hard and the revs got over 2700-3500 RPM, the car would judder a bit. I've never experienced misfiring before so Im not sure if that is what it is doing.
No warning lights appears on the dash either.
I've booked into a garage for them to have a look at but does anyone have any idea what it could be?
