Hi,

Is this too close to the suspension/mounting points to be an MOT failure on a MK1 Ka? Interested in DIY solutions but suspect it’s a cut out and weld job. . The car owes me nothing apart from new front pads and lower arms as the car was free. Low miles and stacks of history so was hoping to save it as first car for someone.

Cheers, was thinking if I do the cleaning back myself and have it welded that it shouldn’t be too expensive? Doesn’t need to be pretty. Just fixed and MOT worthy.

They're known for rust and lots of it, take it to someone who knows what they are doing and get it looked at all over.
Certainly don't take the idiotic advice of filling it.
