Just checking its normal for handlebars on a mt07 to move (back and forwards not side to side b4 any smart arses come on..)

Wondering if its an anti vibration thing or if i need to go to a dealer? Ive checked all the bolts and there ft but its just something ive never noticed before.

cheers lads Thumbs Up

They may be rubber mounted to reduce vibration a bit of movement is normal only you can know if anything has changed which may need attention .

Sounds like your headstock bearings need adjusting.

Maybe just tightening but they may need lubing or even replacing if they are in fact worn.

Have a google about adjusting them before diving in.

Just tightening up then.

They are set on the loose side so its not particularly unexpected.

Is the whole front end (forks etc), moving with the h/bars?

If so, tighten the head bearings a bit, as above. Also check that they move freely, ideally with the front elevated on a stand. You can do this on the side stand with a friend.

Like this at 1:118? That's normal with the rubber mounts.

They are rubber mounted.
I asked about it at the London bike show as I was surprised how much they moved.
Completely normal said the man from Yamaha.
