Hi folks,

Quick question - Is there a way of reducing the ride height on my 390se? It seems a bit high all around.

I have read a few posts suggesting that they were all different and that cutting the springs is an option, although that seems a little heath robinson.

I welcome all suggestions/comments and experiences. :-)

Jase.

Before you try, take the car for a drive on a bumpy road at speed with a passenger and luggage. The Fosse Way to/from Ettington was a good demonstration road.

If you find that the suspension bottoms out and the exhaust scrapes the road, then it's already low enough!

Now if we could have a button so set it high or low, THAT I'd be interested in....

Altering the ride height at the rear is easy with a set of adjustable shocks. There are quite a few on the market with adjustable ride height. The front is more of an issue as you would have to have new springs or have them altered. You could modify to coil overs and then fit adjustable shocks but this would require some welding etc of the chassis and modification of lower wishbone. It has been done by quite a few people.
As Adam said though, I would be very careful lowering the car from the standard ride height. As well as having clearance issues you will alter the whole geometry of the suspension and you may not like what you end up with. Cheers Steve
