Found out today what is wrong with my Griff (had mis-fire) the Distributor has broken down internally dealers are trying to locate another dizzy as we speak - but being a Lucas/Rover part it may be a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time.

You can get a good tested guaranteed second hand one from a reputable Land Rover breaker such as Mark Smith (in Oxford, but does do very good mail order).

You can reach the company on 01869 242 442. They're all enthusiasts and very knowledgeable.

If you really want to torture your wallet, then a new one MAY be available from John Eales Developments (Grand-daddy of the V8s) on 01455 202 909.

Thanks for the replies, the car is currently at the dealers after being there initially for a service, and the diagnosis of the mis-fire fault, I'll let them know about these tomorrow.
