Hi Guys,

I have just traded my M5 in against this 355. What a machine! After a quick test drive I knew I had to have it.

This is not going to sit in a garage and look pretty, this is my daily commute. Why buy a car and never drive it?

Was it a trade in at a Ferrari dealership or specialist dealers.

The most beautiful car ever?

Almost certainly. You must be thrilled. One day...one day...

(Mind you, for daily transport - are you not infested by the plague of Oinkdom in your environs?)

Nice one Deester! But in answer to your question, the reason 355s aren't favoured as daily transport is quite simple - running costs. They need servicing much more frequently than your old M5 and will cost more when they do. Also, they depreciate a little with every mile that you put on them.

But when you see enthusiasts like Kev (456mgt) and Ninja thrashing the nuts off their cars in unbridled passion for the Ferrari marque/fast cars as a genre, you realise that the bitter pill comes with a very, very sweet coating.

Enjoy!

Well It has now been about 1 week and 3 days since I picked this car up. It is truly an awesome machine I can't fault it but along with this car comes several problems that I didn't think would be too big a deal. I was wrong.

1. Fuel. I have spent a FORTUNE on fuel over the last week, its awful on the go go juice.

2. Roads turn into racetracks. No matter where you go there is ALWAYS someone who wants to see just how far you will push it. You know who you are!

3. Attracts too much attention, can't park this thing anywhere! I always come back to hand prints all over the car if i leave it on the street. Scared I come back to a scratch soon.

4. Too easy to speed. Its a licence looser thats for sure.

Apart from that, its amazing!

Congrats on the ride.

I am in envy. I doubt that I will ever be an owner of such a fine machine.

Very nice ride. I too, would be worried about scratches an such.

Again, Congradulations on the ride. Very nice indeed.

Oi Deester!

I think you are unlikely to find a scratch, more likely a vast globule of drooling ectoplasm.

What's it like owning a Michaelangelo?
