How freely should front ARB rotate in the bushes?
Discussion
I've got my front drop links off (1994 Griff) and with the original standard front ARB bushes I'm surprised the bar doesn't have any free rotation - I assume this is correct and that if I fit poly bushes the bar should be able to rotate freely with the bar sliding through the plastic?
Don't know if it's significant over the usual range of travel but surely the standard set up increases the front spring rate as it is?
Do Griffs ride better with poly ARB bushes, and is there any more road noise?
Thanks

Front bar removed and cleaned up and repainted, and new polybushes fitted - and it will move up and down very easily now, splendid.
The front bushes were a pain to fit though, not much space between chassis tubes and my radiator cowl (a home made version), plus a couple of earths connected to the right hand bolts to make access a bit trickier still.
I’ve got new drop links to fit also once steering rack is back in.
Thanks.
