Twenty to year old looking to upgrade from a 2009 Ford Fiesta 1.2L. The car has provided me well so far with no reliability issues, however after saving up some cash and gaining some moe NCD, I am looking for a suitable upgrade.

Looking for something reliable as have a 40 mile round trip daily to commute to work. Preferably:

- manual transmission
- 0-60 in anywhere between 6.5-8seconds (nothing crazy)
- under £10k
- reliable as daily driver

Not too fussed about fuel type or number of seats as I will be the only person using the car.
I know this is a broad question, but any guidance or feedback would be greatly appreciated as there is so much vehicles out there!

Currently looking at some golfs/ fiesta STs, the Toyota gt86 intrigues me but is a bit too boy racer for daily commute and my job.

The best 10k car I've driven, with decent economy, is a Fiesta ST.

Fiesta ST, 208 GTi, you'll get 2015/2016 with decent mileage for that.

I've the 208 variety. Went to it from a 120d, wasn't disappointed. 3 years down the line and reliability wise they replaced an exhaust bracket under warranty that was rusty.
