Allo

Sold my E39 M5 back in 2012 and now have the kids and life at a stage where I want an E39 in my life :-) again.

So this I stumbled on ages ago - and it is still there, which makes me think the dealer has a rep or the car is a pony. A quick google search gives lets say a mixed bag on the dealer, any thoughts on the car or experience of this dealer?

I wish I could spruce 25k for a lower mileage version but this will be ran as a weekender and cannot justify that kind of spend, so the 8-14k mark is where I am

So, go & have a look & make your own mind up.

It looks straight enough, have you done a previous MOT search on DVLA to get an idea of whether it has been looked after/at least fixed when it needed it?

No MOT at mo - although history looks ok
Might nip along and see it, but the reviews of dealership, have me in 2 minds, nothing ventured I suppose

£10-12k will buy a very nice, enthusiast owned one that’s had lots done to it to keep in fine fettle - so long as you’re not a mileage snob.

All of them at this age will need bodywork and brake lines doing unless they’ve been garage queens.

Get over to Bmw5.co.uk and post a wanted ad, most likely to score a well maintained example there than anywhere else.

I'd avoid that dealer like the plague.

Avoid that dealer. Google Keighley trade centre and that will tell you all you need to know. All their cars are rough and nasty

Cheers guys.
Yes I remember Keighley Trade Centre - shame as it might be a cracker but they are not an outfit I would take a risk with, based on their history.
Will be posting a wanted advert on BMW5 and keeping an eye on pistonheads although I notice the classified section does not work so well here these days.
