Have I done the right thing? Big clear out.

Typical of today's squanderbug throwaway mentality!
I think that chucking it in the recycling bin is a rather ill-advised and wasteful action.
Why not save it to make paper chains for next year's festive decorations? Or take it round and offer it to the charity shops or better still, place it on Ebay.
Somebody somewhere would love it and treasure it for years to come...
After all, think of all the care and attention and sheer effort that went into producing it!
All that planning and information gathering and collating and editing and layout planning and graphic design work and printing and publishing and distributing and delivering and displaying at the point of sale.
And you just deign to chuck it in the bin? What kind of monster are you???!!!
It could be used to line the budgie's cage or serve as a nice insulating underlay for a homeless person. They would love to look through its' pages to see what they have been missing for all those weeks/ months/ years. They could envisage what it would be like to once again share a nice cosy family evening in front of a roaring fire watching telly.
I'm only scratching the surface here, I'm sure many on here can think of a myriad other uses for such an august publication.
How about using it to start your own time capsule to bury somewhere for archeologists of the future to find?
Better than have them rooting through an old landfill site, surely?

You got printing and publishing the wrong way round shirley? What about time (and money if driving/using the bus/taxi/train/plane/ferry or indeed wear and tear of shoes) wasted collecting from the point of sale?

Tough. What about time (and money if driving/using the bus/taxi/train/plane/ferry or indeed wear and tear of shoes) wasted collecting from the point of sale?
I arranged printing and publishing in alphabetical order because I happen to be a bit CDO.
You mean to say you don't have your newspapers and periodicals delivered?Have you no consideration for the poor unemployed children? Without earnings from a paper Round, how are they supposed to save up to buy lights for their Choppers and/or a wrap of crystal meth ?
And don't call me Shirley.
