Just got an e-mail back from Tom Wakeford (MD @ Paintshield) who states that the company will have a Chimaera X-Pel Paint Protection kit available in approx 10days.

TVR Engineering use X-Pel on the Sagaris. It is a high impact polyurethane film applied to the nose of the car to protect against stone chips.

Not sure of the cost.

Does anybody have any reports on how effective this stuff is...??

I have seen this stuff on a couple of cars at Henley's TVR garage. It was virtually invisible and had obviously done the job.

Once i have the money to have the chips done properly I will factor in the cost of this stuff as well.

I would also appreciate being informed of the price.
