Hello First time here.
I have fitted a towbar to my van (Pug Partner) and now to the wiring.Do I need a relay?
I believe that if I use an LED trailer board then I don't need to fit a relay . Is this correct?

If the vehicle has a bulb failure warning device you will need to wire the board with a unit or relays that allow for this type of system
As far as I'm aware, UK regulations state that a trailer indicator warning light or audible device must be wired to the dash area so as to warn the driver if there is a problem with a trailer indicator bulb

Whatever you end up needing to do you will need to be sure that the vehicles rear loom cables are heavy enough to power any trailer bulbs that are wired directly to them
