Hello and help :

I have a clever, hands on pal, whose kindly offered to make me (and any other interested owners) an alignment tool to assist
with 'belt and braces' safe, centre lock wheel fitting.

Please, anyone know the thread size on the CL nut??

Cheers

I have the original Porsche tool, which I have measured to my best ability with vernier calipers.
Thread appears to be M55x3
Usual disclaimers apply!

Many thanks Geoff Very kind of you.

Is there anyway you could measure the outside diameter of the bar??

Many thanks

If you're going to try and reproduce this.. you need to know the thread details ... exactly..
O/D, root diameter, undercut diameter, effective diameter over rollers or thread parallels, if it's 60 degree (which it doesn't look like) and root radius for the cutting inserts, it's not something you can guess at... do it properly or it won't fit.. wink

Interested in these myself but never seen a Porsche 1 to fiddle with..!

It surprised me that I couldn't find any trace of a UK home brew effort. There's a few chums over in the USA making them and fulfilling forum group buyers. Also found it strange that there's only really one brand available to us in the UK - made by Rennline and it's a lotta loot @ £350
There's a lot of centre lock folk out there and sure if this 'safety measure' tool was readily available at a reasonable cost, every Porsche man cave would have one !

I’m with you on this, £350 is crazy money. I’d love to know the mark up. It must just cost a quid or two to make in decent numbers.
