When did you last have a proper argument?
Discussion
I was thinking about the amount of apparent differences of opinion between people in the world and how often things get heated online.
But I can't remember the last time I had a proper argument with a stranger or someone I know. So was wondering are we all in a permanent state of disagreement or do most of us just get on with keeping life easy?
So when do you last argue with a real person? Not someone on the internet, I realise people with teenagers probably argue daily but the rest of us surely not as much.

Personally I don't argue with anyone as I just accept that other people have differing opinions, although I do take some pleasure when someone mentions the gender wage gap.
Professionally I have arguments and disagreements more regularly, which can be frustrating at times as colleagues can be selfish and not have the best interests of the company at heart which really annoys me and I can't abide.

A few days ago I had an argument with a young female who parked her car across the doors of a garage at work which clearly states "No Parking" in red and white................twice!!
I needed to get a car out so got some dollies to move her car, she came out as I was jacking it up, she couldn't see the issue with her parking and apparently I have attitude!!

A few months ago, bit of a story, pour yourself a drink.
I was on my way to work down a hill on a road which i've travelled on thousands of times. It curves round to the left, is reduced to more-or-less one lane because there are cars parked down the left side and you have to enter to the right to get a clear view down before making your move. Common sense usually prevails between motorists who meet each other here and amicable manoeuvres are performed.
I was halfway down this row when a woman driving a van appeared at the bottom. As is probably best in these situations (it's like one of those 'you go', 'No, you go' ones you can have on the pavement where both of you try to move to the same side to let the other through) I dominated the road
and made my intentions clear so she knew what the situation was.
Two seconds and I would have been though, all she needed to do was pause.
But no. Oh no, she decided to pull her van in and purposely block my exit refusing to move. Another car pulled in behind me, I switched off the engine eventually and walked over to ask if she'd move, she was quite fit and a cocky so and so, used to getting her own way I would have said.
Not this time.
Her partner sat there and dicked around on his phone, I think he'd been there before with her so proclaimed we were just as bad as each other and could sort it out between us.
We argued the toss, but she refused to back down, claiming she had right of way so I (and the cars now behind me) had to reverse back up the hill to let her through, I looked behind at my car and noticed it wasn't completely blocking the road as i'd pulled in tight against the parked cars, so pressed the button on the fob, locked it, set the alarm and walked off to do some shopping
More cars pulled up and more arguing ensued as she was effectively blocking the road. I returned to a quiet empty road after a while and carried on to work.
5 mins later a Police car came screaming down the road towards me, 'blues n twos' on. I watched in my mirror as it did a U turn and followed me to work. The lady cop was pleasant enough and said the woman had told her i'd gone to the pub, I explained what had happened and she smiled and agreed it was just one of those things, then went on her way.

A lift service engineer kept leaving his van unlocked but blocking the workshop entrance. The service manager knicked his steering wheel. Oh I had to bite my tongue.
The car got damaged by an old man pulling out and cutting across the front corner, it was all sorted out very quickly, I spent half of the payout getting the car repaired along with a couple of other bits while it was in the body shop.
Car fixed, other bits sorted, few hundred quid in change for me. All good.
It lasted eleven days before the wife announced that she had scraped the corner that was just repaired.

On the dash cam footage the parking sensor can be heard beeping away which she decided to ignore.

Worst argument i have had with my wife was doing our first house up 15 years ago - downlight position over the stairs, she won.
That was a proper get divorced, sell the house, not talk for days argument!
I rarely get angry or rise but just before Christmas we were called in by a customer to get a house finished as the main contractor had really dropped the ball and despite all promises was never going to get it done.
We arrived on site, a finished carpetted and furnished property and set too on the 5 pages of snagging.
On the second day the main contractor arrived and tried to remove us from site, siting various h&s/insurance breaches.
Long story short after verbally abusing 4 of my lads he turned on me and after a lot of raised arguments he tried to physically throw me out the house, luckily the owners wife was watching everything and stepped in and put a stop to it.
That was the closest i have been to a fight since i was at school!

I used to have plenty of arguments, all with f
king black cab drivers.
And then I gave up cycling* in London.
My favorite was an argument which resulted in the cabbies fare, who was being taken to Heathrow from central London, getting out after deciding that they would prefer to use a different cab.
*For the avoidance of doubt, all cycling was legal, red lights observed, on roads not pavements, in cycle lanes where available, with lots of lights and high viz - I quite like living.

Summer 2016, I had a disagreement with my manager.
I walked out,after 9 years there.
He had just offered to " put me on the floor with one punch".
It didn't end there.
Did you get up again? I walked out, after 9 years there.

He did offer to come outside of the yard to do the deed instead.
