435i vs others

I’m in a situation where I can afford to potentially purchase a 435i. It would be my first BMW and I’ve always lusted for a 6 cyl rwd plus I like the looks of the current 4 series. My GTI will either end up with my wife or may become a weekend project car, remains to be seen.

Is there anything I need to be looking out for? I understand the N55 engine is a more reliable unit than the previous N54.

And what about alternatives? Apart from price and power increase, is the 440i much different? Regarding rivals, are the C43 and S5 comparable?

How much are you looking to spend because the cheapest C43 Coupe is 33k which definitely puts you in 440i territory.

And at 33k it’s also M4 Territory, very slippery slope once you go down this path!
