Waste of money don't bother.
It depends on how you view your time/£s when looking after your new car & how long you intend keeping it? If you prefer to buy a new car & take it to the “local scratchers” on a weekly basis then carry on
OP, If you want ease of cleaning & to have as good a condition of paintwork from new, get a new car detail & ceramic coating done by a reputable detailer - it’ll remove any light defects the supplying garage has put in when supposedly preparing the car & the sealant will then help limit the crud that sticks to it and also make it easier to clean if you follow the recommended cleaning routine.
FWIW, a PH friend had Staffordshire Car Care do a new car prep/ceramic coating just before Christmas & was impressed with their work.
