Argh! Sleep....
Discussion
I've started waking up at about the same time every day - 5 friggin 30 in the morning and I really struggle to get back to sleep. Of course, until about 10 minutes before the alarm goes off at 7.30 which renders me zombie-like for the rest of the day.
Anyone know what can cause that? Its just happened all of a sudden for the last 4 or 5 days. No noises, not really changed my bedtime habbits or anything I can think of....
I need help!

Lucky you, that time is when I actually get up and get ready for work

try wearing your watch to bed. ill give you twenty quid if it happens again tommorow and youre wearing your watch. (assuming it doesnt tick loudly or beep every hour).
trust me, try it, and report back.
You know, that's the kind of bet that only works in person; (a) I could lie and/or (b) you could just not give me the 20 quid.
And besides, that's some old Frank Carson joke or something. If I weren't so tired I'd probably be able to remember the punchline....

Central heating coming on?
Birdies tweeting/windows open??
Bottle of wine the night before???
does the sound of a cork echo back 8 hours later? Could also be your neighbour's alarm clock. I never actually hear their clock go off but I know it does, because just after I wake up, I can hear them getting ready (walls aren't that thin but thin enough to know if they're moving around).
