Just out of interest; has anyone fitted one of these Steve Heaths hard tops and an idea of weight when compared to standard?

Not weighed it but I ‘d guess it’s a tad lighter .

I remember driving a honda s2000 with a hard top and you could really feel the extra weight, not to mention picking it up when we took it off the car...that was certainly a lot heavier.

Ask Anthony - Qbee - his hard top is almost identical and he's your quickest way to get an answer... wink

The Targa panel is quite a bit lighter than the TVR standard one. The rear section......I would have to weigh both. I never used to remove the standard one, probably because it was bolted down. But I lift the Steve Edwards one on and off regularly and am not worrying about damaging anything due to the weight.
Putting the rear section in the boot does require care and skill if it is painted, as it is light but big. It’s quite a tight fit and I have found with mine there is only one corner that goes in first, left or right. It probably varies from car to car. So if I was advising someone trying it for the first time I would advise having one person holding each side, not because of weight but to have four eyes on where the corners are going.

If I get bored with working today, I will go weigh all four, old and new.
