Hi everyone,
Test driving an A8 2018 tomorrow. First time going for an approved used audi. Is there anything I should be checking? Requesting? Moving away from a coupe 2 door vehicle but hoping the car is just not too big for my needs.
Thanks in advance
Can’t go too far wrong with an approved used Audi.Test driving an A8 2018 tomorrow. First time going for an approved used audi. Is there anything I should be checking? Requesting? Moving away from a coupe 2 door vehicle but hoping the car is just not too big for my needs.

It’s good to be aware there will be an additional £310 road tax applied to it for the next 5 years or so.

Yeah. I am aware of it. My only hesitation is the size of the car as I mostly drive on my own. My first choice was an A7 but somehow an approved used A8 is cheaper than a used A7. It’s good to be aware there will be an additional £310 road tax applied to it for the next 5 years or so.
Approved used doesn't really net you much. You still have 2 years manufacturers warranty remaining which will outlast the 1 year approved used. You could even just buy from a normal trader as you will have remaining warranty
Otherwise the new A8 is fantastic and reviewed as better than s class

Audi finance is offering £5k extra on any PCP deal taken before the end of the month which is the main reason for considering an approved used. Vehicle was great but still unsure of the dimensions as it is a massive car. Longer and wider than the Q5.Otherwise the new A8 is fantastic and reviewed as better than s class

Maybe look for a car with the 4 wheel steering as well as this significantly reduces effective wheelbase at low speeds
Have you checked DriveTheDeal for th spec you are after? Looking like a £16k discount...
There’s also this with £21k discount at £599 deposit and £599 per month! https://www.john-clark.co.uk/audi/new-car-offers/a... If you increase deposit, should bring your monthly’s down to the level you want.

I've just gone ahead with this deal, great value imo, test drove one last week and it is truly lovely. There’s also this with £21k discount at £599 deposit and £599 per month! https://www.john-clark.co.uk/audi/new-car-offers/a... That £599 down £599 pcm is 8k miles on stock vehicles. I ended up factory ordering: £698 down £698 pcm, 10k miles per annum, with the panoramic sunroof (£1600 option) and 20 inch 20 spoke alloys (£1400 option) in that price. Delivery in June, can't wait!
