It’s been a while....new old car

I haven’t posted or visited the forum for a while - divorce made me have a little break from spoiling myself and the last 4/5 years getting my life back on track without becoming penniless.
I thought I’d post my new car. I’ve always wanted one ever since I was a kid as it’s actually my 50th car.
It’s grear condition inside and out - I’ve just had a new carpet set put in, new discs/pads, water pump and it’s had a full new braking system.

That reminds me of the 1973 Mexico Brown 3500S I had back in 1979 - my cousin had a 1972 Cameron Green 3500 at the time!

Its got the round dials in the dash. Much better looking the the "Roots" long dial speedo.

Yeah it’s for reverse.

Cheers - it’s actually really nice to drive other than lack of power steering.
I’m thinking of getting an upgraded steering box which makes it a little light but it’s not too bad really.

It was the colour that made me buy it spurred on by it being a December 19th stupid bargain (no reserve auction)

Hi mate - sadly the M3 paid for most of my divorce. I was being greedy having both that and the 968. Out of the two the 968 is much nicer to drive and not bad to look at.

Nice bit of kit.

My old mans got an early 2000SC Wedgewood blue one on a "C" plate. its got the same steering wheel as yours, but strip speedo and different switchgear with light grey leather and carpets etc.

Its actually quite nice to drive, but for some reason a combo of the suspension and engine note always makes me feel slightly sleepy! - possibly got one of the best ride qualities of any car I've driven though.

Been in our family for over 40 years I reckon, so not going anywhere soon...

Heres a picture of it at a show many moons ago, but it doesn't look any different now - totally standard other than a stainless exhaust and only two owners including my dad.
