987 s alternative tyre size

Having seen some comments that 17,s work well on normal roads has anyone tried a different tyre size on 987 S 18" wheels.

So stock is 235 40 18 front and 265 40 18 rear. Alternative would be 215 45 18 front and 235 45 18 rear.

Im thinking this may improve the ride and make the handling more playful especially on bumpy roads, dont care it maybe slower or looks either come to that.

The 215 /245 split would probably keep the front rear grip balance more even I guess.
