For those in the lead gen or CPA business, how has GDPR regulations affected your business in the UK / Europe?

For now I have just stuck to US customers but it's leaving money on the table. The question is, is the money left on the table worth more than being potentially sued by the EU? I don't trust the EU as far as I can throw them, which is not any distance at all!

Arguably the EU are a lot more trustworthy than organisations afraid of legislation that is aimed to prevent said organisations being irresponsible with data.

I’m not in the industry but in a previous role we were completely dependent on landers for our own lead gen. It was pretty straight forward (which is not to mean it was simple) - tell people what data we were collecting, why we were collecting it, what we were using it for, our basis for processing, who we were sharing it with, how to withdraw permission for use etc. Arguably most of that is what should be reasonably expected.

It's a bit annoying and a waste of time but I'm not going to ignore business in the UK just because of GDPR. What's the issue for you?
