I'm looking for a thin television to mount on a wall...

Ideally, I'd like it as flush as possible - so the back being completely flat would be a bonus. I'm thinking size-wise, somewhere in the 40" range, I don't want it to be huge, but I do want it to sit as flat against the wall as possible.

Any recommendations?

Pretty much any LCD/LED will be thin enough I would have thought.

Be careful when looking at any Samsung’s at the moment.

They may look thin on paper, but they tend to come with a fat media box to do all the source switching and control.

And the latest version is Mahosive!!!! And a right pain in the arse to hide.

Indeed VEX just had a lot of fun integrating a Samsung Frame!!

It’s own bespoke braket and doesn’t use the VESA standard.

No IR on the remote module.

No IP driver from Samsung despite same screen is available in 55” and has drivers!

Remote box lead isn’t long enough to make it to the rack either!

Right PITA!

I’ll be in the market for a 65” soon hopefully and started doing some research yesterday.

LG do a G8 Signature TV (which has been discontinued for 2019) which is another wallpaper TV and the 65” version is available online at some places for under £3,000!

Couldn’t watch that. These guys making money out of opening a box, and talking in a crazy over exaggerating way just drive me insane.

The TV however looks superb. I just googled the thing and looked at some pics. How time moves on! We still have our trusty VT65, though once the new cinema room is completed, will be replaced...

Wow, painful to watch, but thin! That's basically exactly the same as my LG OLED 65" , without the box at the bottom. Moved off with a ribbon cable.

or countersink one in to the wall like ive done here. The screen goes back deeper than it looks - I created a surround (in blue in the pics) to make it look nice and thin. The only reason I didn't make it flush was because it would have blocked the air vents:

edited to add that the screen here is a 40" Samsung and the front of the screen is completely flush with the wall.

It’s OK, I found out - 61” or thereabouts.
